Ahmed Maiyaki is an accomplished media and strategic communication expert with nearly two decades of experience in public policy, governance, and community engagement. He holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Mass Communication from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
Before his appointment as Managing Director of the Kaduna State Media Corporation (KSMC), Ahmed held several high-profile leadership roles, including Senior Special Assistant and Director General (Media & Publicity) to the Kaduna State Governor, as well as key communication positions in presidential and gubernatorial campaign councils. In these capacities, he strengthened government–citizen trust through innovative communication and public engagement strategies.
Maiyaki has also served as a consultant to major national and international development organizations, including DFID UK, UNICEF, WHO, and USAID, supporting initiatives in governance, education, health, and sustainable development. Earlier in his career, as a reporter with Radio France Internationale (RFI), he was recognized by the World Health Organization among the eight most influential journalists contributing to Nigeria’s successful eradication of polio—a milestone documented by Oxford University and the Infectious Disease Society of America.
A certified project manager and seasoned trainer, Ahmed has facilitated capacity-building programs for broadcasters across Nigeria and continues to drive innovation in media and public communication for social impact.
