Call for Abstract
The Programme Committee invites interested researchers, scholars, practitioners, and experts in various fields to submit abstracts of their work for consideration for presentation in the 2025 AFRICA CONFERENCE ON DEVELOPMENT JOURNALISM (#ACDJ2025).
Conference Date: 3rd – 4th December 2025
Theme: Media, Inclusive Development: A Call to Action for Africa’s Future
Deadline for Abstracts submission is 15th August 2025
The ACDJ brings together influential journalists, media executives, media development organisations, academics, donor partners, civil society organisations and government representatives to discuss around development journalism and how to move Africa forward through journalism.

Guideline for Abstract Submission:
- All submissions must be made through the link provided on the conference website.
- Abstracts should not be more than 250 words.
- The proposed abstract should contain the title, author’s name (Surname and First name), affiliation/designation, email address, and keywords.
- If attaching a copy to the form, the abstracts must be a Microsoft Word document (.doc or .docx) formatted using Times New Roman, 12-point font, and double-spacing throughout.
- We strongly discourage submission of abstracts that contain incomplete data and/or analysis.
- All abstracts must be in ENGLISH.
- All abbreviations must be written in full at the first mention, followed by the abbreviation in brackets. Thereafter use the abbreviation.
- Do not include references.
- Abstract presenters are required to fund in full their attendance of the Conference (including registration, accommodation and travel expenses).
- All abstracts will be reviewed and accepted or rejected by the Programme Committee. The Committee reserves the right to determine whether an abstract submission is accepted for presentation.
- All accepted Abstracts will be published in the soft copy of the book of abstracts and/or on the conference website.
- Abstracts submitted to the #ACDJ2025 will not be peer reviewed.

Approved abstract by individual presenters attracts N25,000 (Nigerian abstracts) and $50 (International abstracts).

When the abstract is accepted, go ahead and pay for the abstract, then submit your full paper via the channel you would be directed to upon abstract payment.
